About Bee Louise

Bee Louise was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, which gave her a unique perspective into life in the Arctic and a childhood lived among extremes; temperatures, nature, and daylight and dark. Her childhood was one of 24-hour days, snow so deep that moose walked over the backyard fence, and baseball games under the midnight sun.  

She now lives in Southern California with her husband and their four amazing daughters where she paints custom artwork and continues to write and illustrate children’s books. Although she has traded icicles and snow for sun and sand, those memories from Alaska continue to be the inspiration for her writing and illustrations, and she feels so lucky to be able to share them with children from all over the world.
